Abstract
To understand the achievement of high school nanotechnology curriculum in "Nanotechnology
Human Resource Development Program" and analyze high-school student's knowledge of nanotechnology
conception in Taiwan, this research invited experts in nanotechnology, science education and high-school
nanotechnology teachers and composed a research team, who developed expert concept map, declarative
knowledge statement and situated questionnaire for high school nanotechnology curriculum by using focus
grouping interview, and completed the content validity by specialist sub-group's review. As the results: 1.
"Nanotechnology" expert concept map of high school include three main concepts: Cognitive, affection
and skills development. Each main concept develops from their own conception from general to specic,
and using the examples to clarify the conception. 2. High school nanotechnology statement transform
expert concepts map into declarative knowledge statement, emphasizing the meaning between scientic
terms and increasing science principles description. 3. Transfer expert concept map and declarative
knowledge statement into high school nanotechnology problem situation questionnaire, which divided into
17 proposition situation. First, we ask student to read the "proposition situation", and then answer one to
three open-ended questions. 4. The problem situation questionnaire can collect students' responses, as the
reference for the Two-Tier Diagnostic Test, and also served as data for teacher's future study.
