CHICAGO - A lawyer for Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke blasted Thursday a request by attorneys prosecuting the officer on murder charges that he be held in contempt of court and jailed for giving the Chicago Tribune an interview on the eve of trial.
A statement from Daniel Herbert, Van Dyke's lead lawyer, called the request "an egregious abuse of power" and a violation
