About this audiobook
This program was previously published as Get Some Headspace: How Mindfulness can Change Your Life in Ten Minutes a Day.
Quiet the mind, feel less stressed, less tired, and achieve a new level of calm and fulfillment in just ten minutes a day
Andy Puddicombe, a former Buddhist monk, the Voice of Headspace, and the UK’s foremost mindfulness expert, is on a mission: to get people to take 10 minutes out of their day to sit in the here and now.
Like his readers and students, Andy began his own meditation practice as a normal, busy person with everyday concerns, and he has since designed a program of mindfulness and guided meditation that fits neatly into a jam-packed daily routine—proving that just 10 minutes a day can make a world of difference.
Accessible and portable, The Headspace Guide to Meditation and Mindfulness offers simple but powerful meditation techniques that positively impact every area of physical and mental health: from productivity and focus, to stress and anxiety relief, sleep, weight-loss, personal relationships...the benefits are limitless. The result? More headspace, less stress. Andy brings this ancient practice into the modern world, tailor made for the most time starved among us.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Builds on the aims of the Headspace app. Lots of interesting biographical details and anecdotes to illustrate the teachings of meditation and mindfulness. Will need to reread parts of this more slowly! A lot to take in, even after using Headspace for a year.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Andy is one of the best counsellor for meditation and mindfulness... Also this is great book!!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a great little book! It was simple to understand and offered really quick, practical ways to introduce meditation and mindfulness into daily life. The section on integration was really helpful. I was a bit skeptical since it's tied to an app, but it's not an advertisement in any way. The app isn't required at all but, if anything, it adds credibility to the designer. The stories of his days as a Buddhist monk are pretty entertaining.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Of course this book was written to advertise Andy's Headspace website and meditation system. However the autobiographical details are really interesting. I enjoyed reading about his journey from normal lost guy to where he is now.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5*I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review*I had tried the Headspace app a few times, so was already familiar with some of activities. This is a really great introduction to mindfulness, with really helpful activities. I really enjoyed the book, including Andy's personal experiences.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A book about meditation. The writing was good and the techniques were useful. However, he seemed to expect that I would have a lot of difficulties with meditation that I didn't have. He expected me to be anxious that I wasn't doing it correctly, but I really wasn't so concerned that I would get anxious about it. The stories about his life were interesting.
