About this audiobook
Unconventional Molly Abberwick, trustee of her late father's scientific foundation, is mad enough to fire her new consultant, Dr. Harry Trevelyan. A brilliant expert on new inventions, the handsome Harry irritates Molly to no end with his preposterous insistence that they have an affair -- and that it could be planned, predicted, and run like a science project. But just when Molly is ready to let him have a piece of her mind -- not her heart -- she discovers that the eminent Dr. Trevelyan is not what he seems.
First, there is his family, a long line of carnival folk who run the Smoke Mirrors Amusement Company. Then there are the paranormal premonitions which bring Harry to Molly's side when she most needs him. And when her troubles escalate into violence and a mysterious stalker threatens her life, Molly turns to Harry's sixth sense for help, and discovers she needs Harry not just for a week, or for an hour, but forever in love.
A sparkling new love story, Krentz works her magic once more for an Absolutely, Positively wonderful new romance!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely, Positively is my most favorite book! This marked the first time I listened to it, though, and I'm pleased to report that I thought Richard Ferrone did an excellent job performing this story! I thoroughly enjoyed his narration.
I really love everything about this book! The fact that Harry has paranormal abilities, the setting in Seattle (Harry lives in Belltown, the area where I used to work, and Molly lives on Capitol Hill, just down the street from where I used to live!), the danger to Molly, and the romance between Molly and Harry! It's all so perfect for me. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The novel was a predictably joyous read, romantic suspense from one of my favorite writers.
The plot revolves around the two protagonists: Molly and Harry. A successful businesswoman, Molly owns her own tea shop. She also manages a Foundation – her inventor father’s legacy – with a mandate to give out grants to young and poor inventors. Here comes Harry, a technical consultant Molly hires to check up on applications for Foundation grants.
Romance ensues despite the differences between the heroes. Intense and life-changing, as only Krentz could make it, the affair between Molly and Harry sizzles with tensions and contradictions, which are augmented by Harry’s incongruous insecurities. The same romance also provides some funny situations and bits of dialog worthy of a few delighted chuckles.
The author painted her protagonists with a firm, sure brush, bursting with colors. While Molly is full of light and optimism, Harry is a dark-ish, brooding man with a strong streak of logic. Caught between the two feuding branches of his family, Harry is exploited by both, until Molly gently but firmly puts her dainty foot down. Her ultimatum to both families: either you respect the man I love or else… Of course, Harry is enchanted by his pretty protector.
To further complicate the tale, a crazy villain with technical inclinations appears on the scene. He terrorizes Molly with his scary inventions, thus threatening the sensual bliss between Molly and Harry.
Eventually, after some hair-splitting adventures, the heroes get their happily-ever-after, as required by the genre. To tell the truth, the unavoidable happy ending only added to my pleasure of reading this novel. What can I say: I’m a sucker for happy endings.

Shelves: romance - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5: contemporary-romance, magic, suspense, relationships, attempted-murder, inventions, reread, murder Read from July 24, 1997 to July 24, 2016I love this one so much that I reread it every so often just to clear my mind.See publisher's blurb for plot clues.Molly is in awe of Harry's brain power, thinks he's hot, and is totally exasperated by his attitude towards aspiring inventors. Harry is a super-educated control freak with warring families and who adamantly denies that he has any paranormal abilities. Toss in some old and new murders and attempted murders, crazy family dynamics, former lovers, and hot erotica, and you have a fun but suspenseful romantic read!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sometimes with an author you enjoy it's interesting to visit their backlist and see hints of later concepts creeping into the story. This story shows some intimations of the paranormal that is now quite a strong feature in her stories.Molly Abberwick owns a coffee shop and administers her late father's scientific foundation. She decides that she needs someone to help her decide on the viability of the projects and hires Dr Harry Stratton Trevelyan, he is gruff and abrupt but there's something there between them. He decides to have an affair but nothing is straightforward between the two of them. When things start to go wrong and it appears someone is trying to either scare Molly or kill her, Harry steps in to help and the relationship starts to get very serious. Harry will have to deal with a lot of issues, not least of which is trying to ignore his sixth sense, before they can create a meaningful relationship. It's a little predictable but some of the scenes had me giggling out loud, I love how Molly dealt with his family and the two of them sparked off each other. It was a very satisfying read. And I want Molly's house, particularly the kitchen and the cleaning robots!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5When I read a book, I always finish it, no matter how boring it is. I had to force myself to finish Absolutely Positively. This is my first JAK book. Now I'm leery of trying her others. I didn't care for Harry at all. He, and the book were way too predictable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5love the story; especially the tug of war between the families; very strong alpha hero and tough minded heroine; was only bored during the whole intrigue.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5One of my favorites by this author.
