On my Fire, so this is going to be short and sweet. I definitely see why people love this book, it's highly emotional, romantic, and sob/angst. But also all in a New Adult way, if that makes sense. There was a lot of drama o' rama and "omg, he is so hot" but the sometimes over the top pulling on the heartstrings was the star of the show. The devotion between our couple is for sure worthy of being swooned over but I felt a little old and cynical for it at times (completely a me problem).

I'm not a big New Adult fan but if you are, I definitely think you would love this story but you don't need me to tell you that, the evidence is in all thev5 star reviews. This is in the top New Adult I've ever read and I liked it but this subgenre and me are only so compatible.

I was sent this book from the publisher. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review. “Maybe there was no right or wrong, no black or white, only a thousand shades of gray when it came to pain and what we each held ourselves responsible for.”So many people have told me this was their favorite book. I have heard so many great things about Mia Sheridan and her work, and I knew this is the book I wanted to start with as I have been wanting to read several of her books. This immediately grabbed my attention and I did not want to put it down. If you pick this up, make sure you clear your schedule as you will not want to walk away without knowing what is going to happen.Normally I am not a fan of stories that go between past and present, but Mia Sheridan did it in a way that it just worked. I loved the past scenes from when Archer was a child. They were so emotional, and pulled his story together. I also liked the duel perspective between Bree and Archer and that it took place in present day.I loved that there was a mystery behind what happened to both Archer and Bree. Layers are peeled away as you get to know both characters. You will laugh and you will cry. I loved that Archer still shows a sense of humor beneath all of his pain. This is also pretty steamy, which is really not my thing. I wish there were a few less sexy scenes, but it did not take away from my enjoyment of the story.Overall, I loved this. I want to read everything Mia Sheridan puts out and has put out. If everything else is a as good as this, she quickly will become a new to me favorite author.

I thought I wouldn't like this book. I have seen a lot of hype about it and usually that is a guarantee that I won't like it.

    I was wrong.

It is a fantastic book! a fantastic read! A beautiful, believable, romantic story. I am gushing but I just finished it and I am on a book high. That point in time where I want everyone I know to read it just so I can say, 'I know it was good right?!'

So read it and then message me so I can say it!

Wow, I wasn't expecting almost any of that. Archer couldn't speak but was still a alpha, possessive hottite! Who knew sign language could be so hot! Yummy! At around 90 percent I thought I was gonna have to hurt someone but then turns out I didn't, lol. I loved it, awesome story and characters! I don't know why I hesitated to read it. Mmmm, wonderful!

No words! Beautiful book. Archer is such a special character. I understood his motives and he was such a relatable character. The two love interests were both very sweet. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

She says, “For a beat” more times in this book than I’ve heard in all of my 43 years combined.

Other than that, not great but decent. I read it through to the end to see when the rising action would end. Not sure that it ever did.

This book was probably the best book I’ve read/listened to all year. The love Archer has for Bree was so unconditional. This story was perfect.

I enjoyed this story immensely. Scared me for a minute there. I almost threw the book but kept reading and was elated and relieved with the outcome that brought tears to my eyes. Great story Mia and you are so right, Archer is so cuddly. I just want to wrap my arms around him to protect him.

    What a read
    What a story

I loved both Bree and Archer together and separately.

This wasn't a fast pace story, and I loved it. Gave me time to process all was thrown my way.
Let me tell you the character development from both of them was just what I needed to feel content with this story.
They were both so broken with a very tragic past and so much loss at their young age.
Bree needed to find herself and work on her issues within herself, and that decision took her to a small town where she meets this lonely and mute boy full of innocence and so many insecurities.
I loved how he went away and tried to find himself, sometimes you need to do that in order to grow, feeling like you depend or need another person to feel complete isn't ideal, but knowing your self worth and that you are capable to be by yourself but you choose to be with that person because life is short and the best way to live it is by doing what makes you happy.

I think this book has an interesting plot and story line especially at the start, but the reading wasn't fitting or realistic in the slightest and somewhat cheesy towards the end.

This was very emotional. There were a couple of times that I would be annoyed by Bree's actions. And, at times, it'd feel like nothing was really happening. But the story was unique, and so was Archer, and I'm glad I've read it.

One of the best love stories you will ever read. I enjoyed every single word!

What a wonderful love story. This book has all the ingredients I need to give it 5 stars. The story begins innocently enough with Archer as a small child of 6 years. You never really meet his mother but you understand that she is in an unhappy marriage with a man who is a cheater and a drunk. Archer's hero is his Uncle Connor who is the brother of the awful husband and he loves both Archer and his mom Elise. Uncle Connor persuades Elise to leave her husband for a happier life with him. Elise loves Connor and Connor loves Elise and Archer. While her husband is off drunk somewhere screwing someone who isn't his wife, they pack and leave. Before the night is done, all the adults are dead and Archer is shot in the throat.

Bree suffers a life changing tragedy and leaves her home to escape the nightmares. She moves into a small cottage in Archer's town. When they meet, its (almost) love at first sight, but not. Archer doesn't want to be seen so his hair and beard are overgrown and his body language screams to stay the hell away from him. The townspeople think he is mentally ill because he never speaks or even looks at anyone. Bree does see him though. Then Archer sees her. They learn to communicate with each other. Poor Archer has a hard time being around anyone much less a woman. He wants to please Bree and be everything she wants and needs but he doesn't know how. Eventually it doesn't matter and their love thrives because they want it to. Then a truth that was hidden for years to protect all the guilty parties so they can live a life of respect and abundance is revealed and everyone in their small town is effected especially Bree and Archer. Eventually Bree's past catches up to her and the violence that ensues was unexpected.

There are so many layers to this book I just can't address them all. I will simply say that it was a wonderful book with a HEA that I would enjoy reading again and again. Looks like this book is part of a series called Signs of Love. Think I will go explore more of the books in this series.

Mia does a great job of making you feel what they feel. Luved this book.

Bree Prescott decided it was time to leave her hometown and find someplace new after trying and failing to live with the PTSD associated with her father's murder. When she arrives in Pelion, Maine, she finds a quiet, small town where she thinks she might find peace. Meeting the reclusive Archer Hale who can't speak due to a gunshot wound to the neck, allows her to use her sign language skills she learned to communicate with her deaf father. They quickly learn to understand one another as their attraction grows, but can they each overcome their trouble pasts in order to find a better future together?

Archer's Voice is a special story about two damaged individuals who discover love and acceptance in each other. The problems that they face are described in a way that makes them seem very real, although the story is a bit of a one note since the only part of the story that is truly developed is the relationship between the two main characters. However this intense focus on the two characters brings a depth to the relationship and a true understanding of the feelings they have for one another. Overall, Archer's Voice is an extremely good romance between two individuals who find peace and a special love with each other. 4 1/2 stars

I enjoyed this book. The first thing that stood out to me was the unique plot. With just the opening scene, I was already hooked. I think opening the story with that very first scene with Archer was a really good choice. It immediately made me sympathize for him, and I also think it strengthened the draw towards him.

The characters were also another reason I enjoyed reading this book. I don't know specifically what it was about them, but they made me want to know more about their story. From Travis to Connor to Alyssa—I could go on. I also liked reading this book through Bree's point-of-view. It's rare for me to read a story written from a female's perspective because I always find something that would annoy me in some way. In this case, I found no such reason. I really appreciated that. Don't even get me started on Archer. He's such a sweetie.

And woah there. The smut scenes in this were really hot, and they were written in a way that didn't feel unnatural for Archer and Bree. The one thing that threw me off was Archer's abrupt leave. I don't exactly know what bothered me about it, but it stuck with me for the rest of the story.

One last thing I'd like to add: Someone else mentioned this in their review and I'd have to agree. I wouldn't have picked this up on my own if it weren't for the strong recommendation from a friend. The cover really doesn't do the book any justice. It makes the book seem like any other erotica/romance novel, and it's so much more than that.

This romance was a lot different from many that I have read mainly due to the Archer's character being a mute. The story is pretty angsty and at times I was just shaking my head at it. Overall, I liked it but feel I may be outgrowing the new adult romance genre.
