About this audiobook

A warrior's mission, a woman's desire...

And the unnatural evil that could destroy them both.

What could Christophe, a powerful Warrior of Poseidon, have in common with Fiona Campbell, prim and proper Scottish illustrator of fairy tales by day and notorious jewel thief known as the Scarlet Ninja by night? Answer: the Siren, a legendary Crown Jewel that Fiona has targeted for her next heist. It's said to be worth millions, but to Christophe it's invaluable. For the Siren also happens to be one of the missing jewels from Poseidon's trident.

But breaking into the Tower of London is a two-person job, so Christophe and Fiona team up to commit the crime of the century. As newfound passions fire their motives-and cloud their judgment-they realize they aren't the only ones after the priceless gem. A dark force is shadowing their every move and threatening to shatter their trust with revenge, betrayal, and a haunting revelation about the past.

After "Atlantis Redeemed", I almost didn't read on in the series. That book was idiotic with a single plot line and ineffectual hero/heroines, that go into and reacted stupidly. Worse the characters seemed to have forced chemistry. This book was the complete opposite, yea!

Christophe was definitely not one of my favorite characters in the previous books but this book turns that around. She gets into Christophe's character and you immediately want to know more. But then you are put into his mission and discovering that there is another on the same quest. He is immediately intrigued by the Lady and the chemistry begins. And wow, what chemistry.

His mate, Lady Fiona, is very interesting and although she might put herself into situations, can frequently take care of herself. She is multidimensional and well rounded, which is a great compliment to Christophe. Christophe goes from being a brat, from the other books, to being a emotionally damaged man, who doesn't know what life can hold for him. He has a lot of blame and anger, which has never been looked at from a different point of view, because he hides it. Fiona is the first and only to get through and ground him.

This was one of the best books in this series for me. My other favorite was Justice's story, "Atlantis Unleashed".

Another spine tingling adventure of the warriors of Poseidon!

Moving away from disparity and tons of character angst, Atlantis Betrayed's tone is full of mischief and cockiness. Atlantis' resident "Bad Boy" Christophe is just itching for a little more adventurous endeavors. Slaying vampires and shifters for centuries has become mundane. So much so that his deeply rooted animosity towards the human race is may reach a fevered pitch; putting Colin and Alaric on edge. That is until a certain cat burglar prowls onto the scene of his latest assignment.

A sultry mix of cat burgulat, Scottish aristocracy and a bit of a hellraiser, lady Fiona Campbell is the perfect match for Christophe. Her unassuming exterior hides a fierce sense of duty, honor and loyalty to friends and family. Fiona is no shrieking violet; she more than willing to take the bull by the horns and use whatever means necessar to achieve her goals. I laughed out load at he number of times she manages to turn the tables on Christope.

Romantically "Atlantis Betrayed" is hot, spicy and just a bit kinky. Christophe is dark and sexy and the romantic elements successful reflect his not so vanilla ways. Though Fiona was raised as a proper "Lady" and can play the part when needed, her exuberance and forthright attitude towards her attraction to Christophe makes their courtship all the more exciting.

As in the previous installments, the task of recovering the missing jewels of Posiedon's Trident is the focal point of the story-line. This time the recovery of the aquamarine stone known as "The Siren" is the goal. "the Siren" is said to have the ability to enthrall all shifters. It's a race against the clock as others seeking the power for themselves jockey for the ultimate prize.

Ms. Day continues to astound with her intricate world building and character development. She never looses site of the mystery of Atlantis and its tales that circulate among the humans. It always surprises me how the other mon-human races disimiss Atlantis a just a fable or it's warriors as no real threat.

The book has all the elements that are the standard for series and is a fabulous addition. I Can't wait to start "Vampire In Atlantis"

Atlantis Betrayed by Alyssa Day Paranormal Romance- Sep 7th 2010 5 stars I loved Atlantis Betrayed! It is definitely my new favorite in Alyssa Day's Warriors of Poseidon series. The hero is super hot and heroine is more than a match for him! Lady Fiona is the notorious Scarlet Ninja, a famous thief. And her new target the Siren. The large jewel set in the sword of William the Conquer. Unfortunately, it is locked down under the tight security of the Tower of London . While she is casing the Tower she comes across an unlikely and mysterious man and shoots him leaving the sword for another time. But what she doesn't realize is her foe is a powerful Warrior of Poseidon with powers of his own. He recovers and tracks Fiona confronting her and `persuading' her to joining forces to steal the sword. Christophe is bored. His latest assignment, to steal the Siren from the Tower of London . He doesn't find it a challenge but his is surprised and aroused by the lovely Scarlet Ninja and when she injures him all he can think of taking his revenge on her delightful body. When he meets her he finds himself spellbound and acting very uncharacteristic! He likes her and actually wants to please her. But soon they find themselves under attack. And both will need each other because another and more dangerous foe wants the sword and intends to use its power... At first when I read the blurb about a heroine that is a fairy tale writer by day and by night the Scarlet Ninja a renowned thief. I really wondered if this plot would work. And boy did it! This was an outrageously fun book that had some really likeable characters. Fiona is partially Fae and has cool abilities to bend light. She is also smart and sassy! I loved her butler who is a cross between Batman's Alfred and James Bond. And instead of being annoying her younger brother is perky and adds a human dimension to Fiona. Plus there are some interesting and evil Fae and vampires lurking in the story. So this book has everything, including a somewhat grumpy and bored hero who was very charming. The main characters definitely had a chemistry that was a joy to read. They played against each other beautifully. I have to say this book has really got me looking forward to Alyssa Day's upcoming books. I really, really want to know more about the young warrior Denal who finds himself as a guard to the beautiful Fae Princess Maeve. I hope the author includes more Fae in her future books. They are deliciously evil! The author also sneaks in quite a few scenes with prior characters that faithful readers will enjoy. This story was fun and even lighthearted. At times I found myself laughing out loud and really getting into the spirit of this exiting and thrilling romp. This is book you will not want to miss!
