About this audiobook
It begins with a glimpse or a passing thought. It ends in obsession.
One day a renowned author discovers that his wife, a war correspondent, has disappeared leaving no trace. Though time brings more success and new love, he remains mystified – and increasingly fascinated – by her absence. Was she kidnapped, blackmailed, or simply bored with their marriage? The unrest she causes is as strong as the attraction she exerts.
His search for her – and for the truth of his own life – takes him from France to Spain, Croatia and, eventually, the bleakly beautiful landscape of Central Asia. More than that, it takes him from the safety of his world to a totally unknown path, searching for a new understanding of the nature of love and the power of destiny.
With The Zahir, Paulo Coelho demonstrates not just his powerful and captivating storytelling, but also his extraordinary insight into what it is to be a human being in a world full of possibility.
In Arabic Zahir means 'visible, present and unable to go unnoticed.' It refers to something or someone that ends up being the only thing we can think of. This state of 'possession' can be understood as saintliness or insanity, with a fine line between the two.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a very profound journey of transformation and spiritual growth, anyone searching for the piece that is missing will feel their search reflected in this story. It’s about love.. but first and foremost love starts inside one, in order to be lived as a state of existence and not a codependent relationship, this is a story of spiritual transformation that touches us profoundly. A must read for anyone searching for themselves and the love they miss. Thank you Paulo Coelho for your wonderful books! ???

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Every other book by Coelho I read was memorable and thought provoking. I lost interest in this one, but it must be hard to keep producing blockbuster books, so I'm still a fan. Paul will make you contemplate your relationships and what their true meaning is.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It is a lovely book. It helped me to reflect what "love" is. Love the idea that the sky is always blue, because even there are clouds, the sky above it is still blue.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5You cannot expect me to rate P Coehlo anything less. The Journey he takes me on in every book is worth the time I spend in his words. I have received enormous blessings from his words and I will continually to share my life in order to gain love.
Love truly conquers everything especially fear. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Because I came searching for this book from Alchemist and 11 min so I consider it my fault to raise my expectations so much, but it’s just an ordinary book. Nothing very special personally for me.
