About this audiobook
The finale to the story begun in The Omen Machine, The Third Kingdom, and Severed Souls
All is lost. Evil will soon consume the D'Haran Empire. Richard Rahl lies on his funeral bier. It is the end of everything.
Except what isn't lost is Kahlan Amnell. Following an inner prompting beyond all reason, the last Confessor will wager everything on a final desperate gambit, and in so doing, she will change the world forever.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved every book in the SOT series! He created an amazing and powerful world!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The book was excellent. The audio had several skips with an audio queue akin to a record skip or a tape being eaten by the machine, then suddenly you were a paragraph? a page? half a chapter further in the story. It was a frustrating experience.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Wow what an end to an epic trip fabulous series the books do tend to repeat themselves a little bit which is annoying but overall thoroughly enjoyed it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I've listened to most of this series in the last 2 months and I have to say it's such a great story. Terry goodkind does a wonderful job off painting the picture of this entire series so vividly and creating such an emotional connection with all of the characters I've found myself crying and smiling from ear to ear the whole way through. 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is supposed to be it; the end of the long series. Many people thought it should have ended at [Confessor], before this sequel series began. It felt like the last three books had lost the power and awe of the original series, like there were being written for word count only. When I saw that this last book was under 500 pages I had hope that that trend had stopped. It did thankfully. Things weren't repeated endlessly. Perhaps Goodkind read all the bad reviews? To me it does look like Goodkind tried to salvage what he could here. I had to snort at the way Samantha was taken care of though. That stank of convenient ends. And the famous relationship between Kahlan and Richard fell flat on it's face. While it still doesn't have the power of the beginning of the series, it WAS better than it's predecessors in this sequel series. I'm gonna miss Richard, but I'm glad this has finally ended. I'll do reread in a few years to remind myself how much I love the original series.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5i liked it better than severed souls, but I think sam tsoutsouvas was an awful narrator, and you can tell he produces a lot of mucus and spit as he narrates this audiobook
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved these books, so sad to see the end come. Now I will read the Nikki Chronicles, or whatever it's called. Goodbye Richard Rahl, The Seeker of Truth, Ogrissa es Strakka, The Bringer of Death, Warheart, and all the other names he was known by. Goodbye
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Great book, but audio file on scribed had intermittently 30 second blank spots. The story would pick back up, and you would miss what was supposed to be there. Similar to a dvd with scratches :(
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A bit long winded at times when Terry feels the need to explain a concept of magic. He doesn't "show" you the story but rather "tells" you the story in multiple conversations between characters. A lot of time is spent in conversation and not as much detail is given to the story, which results in a rushed story when it's time for action. That said, I enjoyed the conclusion to these characters.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Had a slow start but a nice wrap-up. I think that should conclude the series but we'll see
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Warheart overall was good but I would not say any better then that. I do not think enough of the story focused on either Samantha, Hannis Ark or Sulachan. At least not from their perspectives. It seemed like Goodkind was in a bit of a rush to wrap things up so he could get onto his next book "Death's Mistress". I find now when the focus is on Richard's character to much of the time it is dialogue of him having to explain and explain everything to all the other characters in the book who begin to look like they have the minds of children. I am still hoping for a future book to be made where Richard and Kahlan have two children, a daughter who grows to be a War Wizard and a son who becomes a male Confessor (who turns evil of course). I think this would have a tone of conflict and possible story arc's to it. Lets bug him to make it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The long, long, long saga of Richard and Kahlan (stared in the Sword of Truth series) comes to a conclusion, finally. Like the previous conclusion of the series, this is supposed to be the last of the novels featuring them in this setting. As usual, the novel starts out with Richard and Kahlan on the brink of death as enemies seek to destroy the entire world, merging the world of life with the world of death and in the process, ending both. Its hard to describe much more without massive spoilers. Fans of Goodkind's books should expect much more of the same, though I believe he has taken a turn towards George R. R. Martin style fantasy now, as more characters than usual are killed off. This started in the previous book, so don't be surprised when it continues. I used to really be a fan of these books, but I mostly read this to get to the end, not because its a great novel.
