About this audiobook
But life "ever after" isn't as easy as it used to be. Harper's gone from being a member of a small demon lair to co-Prime of one of the most powerful lairs in the U.S., with a mate who, though hot as hell, is just a mite overprotective-I mean, you get kidnapped by dark practitioners just once . . .
Then one of Knox's demons goes rogue, and in his madness decides Knox Thorne must die.
Harper's worried. Knox isn't-at least until he discovers his mate's willingness to get between him and danger. Now, Knox has a new priority: Keep Harper safe . . . no matter what it takes.
But Harper begins to suspect there's more danger than one rogue demon. It seems the combined strength of Harper and Knox has upset the balance of power in the demon world and there are those who are determined to right that wrong.
Because when you move up the food chain, sometimes the other predators just want to take a bigger bite.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Love this series. Will listen, read, and remember them over and over
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Blaze is the eleventh book in the Dark Kings series and this story actually overlaps the same time period that book ten does but these characters are located in London. This is a series that is best read in order. The world building and storyline is amazing but a first-time reader may find the start of the book a little confusing with the storyline essentially picking up in the middle of the story that has been thread throughout the series. With that said, if you stick with the story you will get the gist of the history and it quickly becomes a read that pulls you in! Such a good read!Anson is the main protagonist of this story and is a Dragon King. The Kings are dragons that existed on Earth before mankind and through poor judgement on their part swore to provide protection for humankind. The people they swore to protect eventually turned on them and the dragons were forced to send all their friends, family, and subjects away. The Kings themselves had to stay behind because their magic was needed to allow all the other dragons to leave and then seal the portal they used. Since that time, the dragons slept only to resurface hundreds of years later. Since awakening they have done their part to keep their very existence a secret.A secret that becomes harder to keep when one of their own, Ulrick, was cast out and has sworn revenge against the King of Kings, Con. Now the Kings believe that Ulrick is feeding information to the Kyvor corporation and was behind the footage leak of the dragons fighting with the fae that has hit the news recently. Someone at Kyvor was also responsible for the kidnapping and brainwashing of Esther and Kinsey. These women had been used against their will and sent to Dreagan, the dragons home base, in order to spy for information.Kinsey and Esther have no recollection of how they came to be used as pawns against the Dragon Kings and that is due to the workings of druid magic. Their memories had been tampered with and that makes them angry and out for some retaliation. Someone at Kyvor has connections to a powerful druid and it has become their mission to find out not only who the druid is but also who truly is feeding Kyvor the information. Anson has come along at the request of Con in order to keep Kinsley, Con’s mate, and Esther safe.Kinsey and Esther have been spending their time deciding which employee they are going to approach about being their inside person. The women finally decide on Devon. She has been an employee of Kyvor for years and has been a steady ladder climber. There is also something important about her because it appears that someone at Kyvor is having her followed. They are able to use that information when they approach Devon about helping them uncover who at Kyvor is feeding the information about the Dragon Kings and their mates.Devon loved her job, she loved the company that she worked for. It was hard for her to hear about a magical world that contains fae and other magical creatures. It just did not seem real! Once Devon started to consider the possibilities to what Esther and Kinsey were saying she could not stop herself from trying to find out if her company was involved. That decision to try and find the leak would be the catalyst for all hell breaking loose! Devon is thrust into a conspiracy that she is not prepared to handle and everything she thought she understood about reality was upended. She quickly had to accept that she lived in a world that also included magic and if she wanted to survive she has to rely on Anson and the Dragon Kings.Blaze is packed full of action and as the story enfolds you can expect plenty of twists and turns. The simmering attraction between Anson and Devon is electric but this is not just a romance read. There are some sexy times between these characters but their relationship is more than physical. The relationship building is sweet, steamy, and swoony! They truly have something special and Devon is more than she seems. The author does an amazing job with imagery for the scenes she creates and the development of the characters. The book really comes to life and grips you, it is a hard book to put down. This is a book and series that I highly recommend. This review is based on a complimentary book I received from NetGalley. It is an honest and voluntary review. The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Blaze by Donna GrantDark King #11In the complex entertaining supernatural paranormal world created by Donna Grant there are dragons, fae, druids and more. In the Dark Kings series the dragon kings are featured and though I came in on book 10 and missed out on much I find I can read the books as they come out and not feel I need to have read the previous ones. That said, I do hope to find and read each one of them at some point in the future. In this book the two main characters are Anson, dragon king of the browns, and his mate-to-be, Devon. Devon works at Kyvor, a business that the dragons want to get information from. Two women from past books in the series are working to ally Devon with their cause and Anson is there as their bodyguard. The novel is action-packed and includes spying, kidnapping, bad guys, fights, attempted rape, torture, friends that come to the rescue, romance and a bit of backstory, some catching up with major players not necessarily part of this book and preludes to what may be coming next. There are a number of characters still waiting for their stories to be told and I am eager to find out what will happen to all of them. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4 Stars
