Tui T. Sutherland & Kari Sutherland are sisters and best friends, and if you can’t tell by looking at them which one is older, Tui certainly isn’t going to tell you. They grew up in South America, traveling a lot and moving several times (and they’re still only about 80 percent certain that their parents weren’t secret agents). Kari now lives in California, while Tui lives in Boston, but they use every excuse they can to see each other (like, say, writing a book together).

I like how the 'wings of fire' series has a balance of a little romance and a little gore. The story line is easy to follow and alway interesting. The narrator really helps you feel the emotions of the dragons and connect with them. I would definitely recommend for age 10+.

I have enjoyed the Wings of Fire series so much it driving me crazy. Tui is such a good author I love how through the entire book it’s twist and turns.

Qibli and Darkstalker bounce off each fantastically, every scene between the two of them left me enraptured. I also appreciate Qibli’s ability to realize the obvious (a problem the wings of fire protagonists have tended to have ever since I began reading these in 5th grade). Still, Darkstalker is a magnificent, charismatic villain, and this book is great finale for the 2nd arc
