About this audiobook

Tequila Key is just like any other small town, and I'm just like any other small town psychic. Scratch that. Tequila Key is a world onto itself and some people might think that I am one crayon short of the box.

And, if we're being totally honest, Tequila Key is just like any other small town-if that town boasts a voodoo priestess and a few white witches for flavor. Turquoise blue water and the best margaritas this side of Mexico make it hard to leave.

I'm Althea Rose, co-owner of Luna Rose Potions Tarot Shop, and I've just stumbled into a love triangle while trying to save my best friend from being accused of murder.

See? Just like any other small town.

Light, and funny. But with a solid plot. I'm looking forward to the next book.

I wouldn't say this is my favorite series of hers, but it wasn't terrible.

This is a great 'light' mystery. Having recently returned from a vacation to the Keys, I really enjoyed this. Looking forward to #2!..

I liked that the plot moved fairly quickly. The author didn’t draw out the conclusion with a lot of unnecessary details. It was a bit far out, but not completely unbelievable.

I made it to Chapter 8 before giving up. The book is slow, the characters are poorly developed and the writing style is telling not showing. The author voice is very immature and it reads like a lecture on the characters, too much exposition. The pace is so slow, from chapter one there is a lot of over handed foreshadowing with the characters feeling a sense of foreboding but nothing happens for 8 chapters. The love triangle feels forced, Althea gets set up on a blind date by her friend Bo, who then tells her that, by the way your friend Trace also has a huge thing for you. There is no development or tension just boom, here is your love triangle. When Althea hangs put with Trace and he acts possessive and jealous (which apparently is not normal), she rebuffs him and goes on a date with the guy she was set up with. The next time she and Trace get together he is flirting with someone else so she gets angry at him and makes a point of flaunting herself in front of him. The whole first part of the book the MC is described as a psychic Bella Swan type, clumsy and lacking self assurance, then she acts bitchy and bossy when she interacts with other characters. I have zero interest in rooting for such a horrible character.

A bit of hocus pocus, added to romance and mystery. I can’t wait for the next book.

How can you pass up a book whose blurb starts “a witch, a psychic, and a voodoo priestess walk into a bar”. Fun read along the lines of Stephanie Plum

whispersync, supernatural, women-sleuths, cozy-mystery, florida-keys, friendship Fun read with memorable characters who truly are. Set in the Florida Keys, it feels like a daylight version of NOLA with its assortment of psychics and witches. The publisher's blurb gives hints but doesn't convey the fun and humor. A good read! Amy Melissa Bentley has the perky down perfectly.
