- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5With a nod to Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train, Killer Choice asks the question just how far would you go to save the person you love? Gary is living the American dream with the love of his life Beth. After many years of infertility they are finally expecting a baby which will complete there dream of happiness. Unexpectedly Beth suffers a medical complication and finds out she has a cancerous brain tumor that will kill her shortly unless they can afford $200,000 for experimental medical treatment in Germany. Out of options to pay for the treatment Gary receives an offer for the money. All he has to do is kill a complete stranger. This was great story. While the writing wasn't the most elegant, Patricia Highsmith wrote a timeless classic with Stranger on a Train, this book nevertheless has it's own merits. The book keeps you strapped in on a nerve wracking ride that never let's up. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next and I could never predict which way the story was going to go. There were quite a few surprises in store. The whole time I was asking myself would I do if this happened to me and the suspenseful plot kept me glued to the pages. Tom Hunt kept me wrapped up in his crazy thrill ride until the last page.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5What would you do if you found out that the love of your life had a terminal illness? What moral boundaries would you cross? Those are the question that arises from this easy read by Tom Hunt. Traipsing in territory better covered by Harlen Coben, Hunt tells the tell of a middle aged man who discoveres that his wife has a terminal brain tumor, but if he can raise 200k there is a treatment that may save her life. Killer Choice is a decent weekend read, that maybe will give you a few things to think about.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Oh the webs we weave when we first practice to deceive!Tho i felt that the characters lacked depth...needed some oomph!...i enjoyed the story itself. And for a debut novel?? Touche' i say and ignore the naysayers !Most of us would say there does exist a line we would not cross, even under the most dire situations. But wait, someone you dearly love is in a life/death situation and there is a desperate need for money. Murder? Cover-up? Lies? Would ya do it all/ any? Put yourself in the shoes of Gary Foster and see what you think. Reading this book made me truly be honest with myself....
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What a debut. All I have to say about Killer Choice is that you are making the right choice when you pick up a copy of this book! I can't wait to read what Mr. Hunt comes out with next. Instant chemistry. After getting to know Gary and Beth and their situation, the reader really feels for them. It is hard to say if I would not do the same thing if I was in Gary's shoes. If so, I probably would be just as horrible a liar as him. He really was not fooling anyone but yet I still was cheering for him. He was gullible but kind hearted at the same time. Oh, and I just loved Beth. She drew on strength. This book had good characters that were likable as well as a solid storyline that moved at a nice pace. You have to check this book out.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Gary and Beth are happily married and happily pregnant after having tried so long for a baby that they had nearly given up hope. All seems to be going well until suddenly and unexpectedly Beth collapses. After a trip to the emergency room they are given devastating news. Beth has an inoperable tumor and may have less than a year to live. Her only hope of survival is a costly experimental treatment that they can not afford.
Meanwhile a shady character named Otto has caught the eye of a crooked cop and wants to be rid of him permanently. He hatches a plan to have the cop murdered by someone who has no connection to him so that he will never be a suspect. When Otto sees an article about Gary and Beth's dire situation he decides to take advantage of their desperate need for money.
This was a fast paced, suspenseful, action packed thriller with a lot of heart. There were a couple of things that irked me, having to do with police procedure and cash that I won't go into so as not to spoil the story but overall I enjoyed it.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Gary Foster is running out of time. His pregnant wife Beth has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Her chances of survival are slim but her doctor advises them about an experimental procedure in Germany. This treatment is not covered by insurance and the Fosters lack the funds to pay for it. They have embarked on a fundraiser with hopes of starting treatment quickly. Unfortunately, they remain way short of their goal and the outlook appears bleak for Beth and their unborn baby.A local stranger comes to Gary’s rescue. He has read about their financial problems and offers him a deal. Commit a murder and the money for Beth’s treatment is his. Gary is left with a tough decision and little time to deliberate. This is a debut novel by Tom Hunt. Killer Choice is a fast-paced novel with escalating tensions. I look forward to more books by this author.
