About this audiobook

To stop a high-society killer, she'll have to play matchmaker one last time . . .

Lady Katherine would rather chase clues than suitors. Her reputation as a matchmaker could give her the cover she needs to follow in her detective father's footsteps. If she catches the Pink Ribbon Killer before he strikes again, she'll win her dowry and her independence in the process . . .

One look through the exclusive Northbrooke estate house party doubles her suspect list. With the help of her trusty maid and her precocious pug, Katherine risks it all to unmask the killer. But is winning her freedom worth putting another debutante in mortal danger?

I enjoyed the narrative style and the main characters. However, the murderer was clear way too early in the book.

Fake haughty British accents, weak plot, I kept fast forwarding through chapters, listening to some, being overcome by the the way they couldn't pull off this load of bollocks, while maintaining a "light hearted air" and boy did they come down on the society of the "ton" which is fair, with our crystal balls. Seriously though the heroine had two main purposes and she kept messing one up for the other and putting herself in mortal danger all the while stating how dangerous it was for others. If you're going to have a main character 200 years before her time she should have had more brains. What a waste of an audiobook!

To claim her dowry, and prove her skills as an investigator, Lady Katherine has until her 25th birthday to capture, without help, the pink-ribbon murderer. All the while taking a position as a matchmaker at a house party.
With a lot of suspects Katherine finally gets to the guilty party.
A good start to the series and I would be interested in finding out which characters carry over to the next book.
