About this audiobook
Still in hiding after infiltrating a dangerous gang, Cassidy Livingston just has to make it a few more months before she can testify at trial and resume her old life. But trouble keeps finding her, and Cassidy is pulled into a local investigation after a man mysteriously disappears from the island she now calls home.
A recurring nightmare from her time undercover only muddies things, as does a visit from the parents of her handsome ex-Navy SEAL neighbor. When a friend's life is threatened, Cassidy must make choices that put her on the verge of blowing her cover.
With a flood watch on her emotions and her life in a tangle, will Cassidy find the truth? Or will her past finally drown her?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Flood Watch is the second in the Lantern Beach Mysteries by Christy Barritt. This was a great follow-up to Hidden Currents. I just couldn't put it down. Cassidy, a detective from Seattle, is on the run from a dangerous gang who wants her dead. She is still hiding out in a small town in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She teams up again with her neighbor Ty, a former Navy Seal, to help their friend who is accused of being involved in the disappearance of one her competitors. Cassidy puts her detective skills to work again to help her friend. All the while, Cassidy has to continue to watch her back to make sure no one has figured out where she is. This novel is full of nail-biting suspense, quirky characters, budding romance, and even an ice cream truck full of mystery. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed! I can't wait to read Book 3 to see what happens next!I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love reading this mystery. It is interesting to see how Cassidy juggles her instincts from her former life to trying to stay under the radar in her new one. She is making a new life while awaiting to testify, but is not succeeding in keeping her past under wraps as she keeps running in to events that cause her to draw on her past skills. I don't know that I would be any more successful than she was at flying under the radar,
