About this audiobook

This program is read by the authors, with Paul Giamatti, and includes sections recorded in front of a live audience.

The highly anticipated first book by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, the voices behind the #1 hit podcast My Favorite Murder!

Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation.

In Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered, Karen and Georgia focus on the importance of self-advocating and valuing personal safety over being "nice" or "helpful." They delve into their own pasts, true crime stories, and beyond to discuss meaningful cultural and societal issues with fierce empathy and unapologetic frankness.

My Favorite Murder started as a way for Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark to work through their fears. Now it’s a worldwide community…. Even its darkest moments are lightened by Karen and Georgia's effortlessly funny banter and genuine empathy.” —RollingStone.com

I have been listening to this podcast for a long time now and I am happy to be a part of the murderino community. This book is AMAZING even if you dont listen to the podcast. If you are coming to read it looking for murder look elsewhere however. This book is about how they got to where they are now and is so empowering and emotional. If I could give it 10 stars I would but 5 will do. SSDGM my friends!

This was a good listen, though definitely felt more like excerpts from podcasts mixed with some personal memoir of the authors. Really entertaining, though!!

If you are looking for content on murder, there is very little. This is actually a self-help book. It was enjoyable. The writers are charming, smart, witty, and honest. It's good advice for people in their 20s or women who have found themselves in arrested development past their 20s.

This book was everything I hoped it would be and more. It made me laugh and it made me cry. It made me feel not so alone, just like Karen and Georgia’s podcast does every time I listen to it. I’m going to listen to this at least 5 more times.

Just engaging and relatable and funny. A reminder that everyone screws up, yet the universe often rights itself.

The 2 hosts of the My Favorite Murder podcast wrote a memoir. Listen to it! (And yes, I cried once. There’s a bit I’m going to send to my sister. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you hear it!)
