      Introduction

      In the world of anime there are bunch of kinds/styles of how it is drawn and one of those is Chibi anime. Chibi is a Japanese word which means small child or short person. It is a form of anime that focuses on the child like face of a certain character, usually cute and small figures.

      It is not so hard to draw a Chibi anime because unlike ordinary anime that has too detailed look and more complicated features like the hair, eyes, hands etc. The character of this anime usually only has a big face and eyes that emphasizes their youthful look. You can draw their body, especially hands and feet, so simply that sometimes you don’t need to draw the fingers of the hand and on the feet.

      As of today, people are more attracted to Chibi anime not only because of their cuteness but because of the drawing that isn’t so hard to do, you can easily copy a Chibi anime in just a matter of few minutes.

      In this tutorial you will learn how to draw a basic to detailed Chibi anime sketching. For those who are beginners in this field, you need to start to learn how to draw faces and eyes. It is very important for those who are beginners to at least learn to draw the face and eyes of the Chibi character because it is usually the first thing you need in making an anime.

      Before you start this tutorial you should have the determination to succeed in this tutorial, not only determination but passion for drawing. I believed that drawing is not an easy work but remember that anyone can draw if you have the determination, passion and imagination.

      Things you need & Exercise for your hands

      (Now before we begin our tutorial please prepare the following tools that we need to create our chibi anime.)

      •Pencil

      •Scratch paper

      •Clean paper/ sketch pad/bond paper

      •Eraser

      •Pen

      Start

      •Get your pencil and make sure it is in good condition (it should be sharpened).

      •Try to find the most comfortable position for how you hold the pencil.

      •Get the scratch paper and make sure the back part is clean, we will only use the clean part of the paper.

      •Try to twist your hands, make a round shape using your wrist to fully exercise your hands!

      Master your lines!

      We all know that some of us, especially for the beginners, do not have talent in drawing but I’m pretty sure that this tutorial will help you awaken your hidden talent.

      So now, we will begin by making lines. This part will help you loosen up your hands so that it will be easy for you to draw chibi anime in the next chapter of this tutorial. So what are you waiting for, start making some silly lines!!
