Mystery, murder romance, family relationships are parts of the whole. This series always has multiple stories going on, though I am tired of the abandoned by parents" thread and would like to see its conclusion. A light-hearted enjoyable read. But the real reason for the 5th star I added to this rating was the depiction of drug addiction and what it takes to detox. Stephanie Bond has provided an enlightening discussion for teens without any talking down or lecturing.

I believe I'm going to have to stop reading this "sexy mystery" series.

The heroine is an enabler, who works part-time as some sort of salesgirl in a high-end department store.

She really wants to be with the cop (she pops in & out of bed with), but is instead is living with her uber-rich ex-fiance, as her home became unsafe when her ex-best friend turned out to be a murderer and unbeknown to anyone, hid out in her parents closed off bedroom. Her ex-fiance has hopes of marrying her, and has the uber-carat diamond ring he origially gave her, which she hocked.

She knows her brother is a drug & gambling addict....but she keeps letting him slide....she feels sorry for him, and he's made her life even more of a living hell. His "loan shark"....kidnaps him after his failing a probation drug test and forces him to dry-out. As If!

So, now her friend & co-worker (a former M.E.) is now believed to be a serial killer, with the signature of placing charms in his victims mouths. Of course she doesn't believe him to be guilty, so she does all she can to prove him innocent.....

Really, there isn't anything likeable about her, except maybe her name, Carlotta, and there isn't much to like about the story either.....the only thing believable is the druggie brother & her enabling him......

    I give up!

The final conclusion to the trilogy of body mover books this answered a lot of questions but still leaves it wide open to continue if she wants to with the next part of the story. With that said I already feel like I've known all along where the parents were, I didn't guess the murderer, and she really doesn't finalize who gets to be the boyfriend.

No spoilers, but this is the book that starts to bring all of Carlotta's problems to a head! She's learning to accept her role, and she's dodging murderers. Well done. Next book please.

I really wish I'd taken the time to write a review for each of the books in this series, but I honestly couldn't take the time to write something between books. As soon as I finished one, I opened the next one. I'm not quite sure what it is about these books that I love so much, but I think they are excellent! I absolutely love the characters! You can't help but care about them and feel sorry for them.I do find them fairly predictable, but it almost makes me enjoy them more in a way. I am so disappointed that there is no set release date for the seventh book in this series. I don't even want to read anything else until I find out what happens. This book finally wrapped up the mystery that we started with in book 4, but there are still so many loose ends. I can't wait to see what happens in Carlotta's love life. I really love 2 of the 3 guys and have my own opinions on which she'd be happiest with. Anyway, I absolutely love this series and want more!

This is such a great series. Really interesting characters and stories. I'm really sad it's the last one, but hopeful there will be more in the future.

Well, I've enjoyed the entire 'Body Movers' series from Stephanie Bond, but I must say I'm a little peeved. Everything I had read intimated that "Killer Bodies" would be the last book of the series. Apparently not! It's not that I didn't enjoy the book, I did, very much...but I was expecting ALL the issues to be resolved. Silly me.Carlotta feels a bit like Chicken Little. Now that the cops have arrested her 'friend' Cooper, everyone seems to be convinced he's the 'Charmed Killer'...everyone but Carlotta. No matter how much evidence seems to be piling up, she just can't shake her belief in Cooper. And that's not Carlotta's only problem. The escaped, insane, former co-worker who tried to kill her is still on the loose and, as far as Carlotta is concerned, HE's a great suspect for the 'charmed' killings. And her former fiance Peter, who dumped her when her father and her family's wealth disappeared, is pressing her to deepen their relationship. And then there's her brother Wes, 19 years old. He's more of a child to Carlotta since she's the one who raised him for the last ten years...he's in BIG trouble--woman trouble, drug trouble, and mob trouble. Poor Carlotta would really like it if she only had to handle one problem at a time!If you haven't read the previous five books, for goodness sakes don't start here. This series is filled with mystery, romance, and humor. Carlotta has three, count 'em three, men on a string and STILL can't decide which is right for her. She doesn't walk, but RUNS, where angels fear to tread in her efforts to clear her friends and find the killer and there are more red herrings than on a Maine fishing boat! I think I suspected just about everybody in the darn book, before the real killer was revealed."6 Killer Bodies" does have closure...of a sort. The 'Charmed Killer' mystery is solved. The mystery of Carlotta's father is not, but he does make another appearance. Wesley's issues become better...and more convoluted at the same time. And Carlotta's men...are still her men since there's just something special about each one. If only she could make a composite! I did enjoy this book. Stephanie Bond knows how to mix humor, mystery, and romance and come up with intriguing stories and great plotting. But there's no way this is the last we've heard about Carlotta. So now I'm off to do more research on when I can expect the next installment in her crazy, mixed-up life.
