      You are about to learn how to make $100 a day selling on eBay.

      Unlike many books you’ve read, this book will be short and to the point. We’re going to take several short, simple baby steps to move you in the right direction.

      I’m going to give you a plan you can follow to make money now – and in the future, whenever you find yourself strapped for cash.

      First, let me tell you what this isn’t. It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme, where you can put in fifteen minutes and have $1000 in your mailbox the next morning. It’s more like a job with lots of overtime and hard work. But, if you follow the plan –

      I promise you will have an extra $100 in your pocket whenever you need it ...

      The other big thing is Covid-19.

      Online sales are exploding—for eBayers who sell necessary items. Not so much, for everyday sellers of collectibles, books, clothes, etc. Once everyone is vaccinated and people get out and about again, things should return to normal.

      Traditional retailers are counting on a newly-coined term—revenge buying. The thinking is that as the pandemic winds down, people will emerge from hibernation and rush down the street throwing hundred-dollar bills here and there. So, naturally, they expect to get their share of the freshly printed Biden-Bucks Some of it should come your way, too.

      The pandemic has caused another problem for online sellers. Buyers want their items now, but shippers can’t keep up.

      The post office took up to two weeks to deliver first-class items at Christmastime. The standard delivery time is three to five business days.

      As you can guess, customers got upset and demanded refunds.

      Those issues hit sellers where they were already hurting—in the pocketbook.

      Now, the post office is looking at streamlining service—possibly making fewer or centralized deliveries and extending delivery times.

      And, oh yeah, they need to bump their rates again to stay solvent.

      If you sell internationally, Covid can impact your sales and shipping.

      Some countries no longer allow packages from certain countries to enter their borders. Several months ago, I received an eBay message that one of my international sales was canceled. The country it was shipping to rejected it.

      eBay refunded the buyer’s payment and let me know the package would not be returned. That was sort of a bummer. But then, they added that I wouldn’t be charged for the return.

      You’re protected if you ship internationally using eBay’s Global Shipping Program. However, if you ship packages internationally on your own, you’re shit-out-of-luck. You lose your money and merchandise.

      It’s going to take additional research on your part to see which countries allow packages from your country and which ones don’t. What makes it more challenging is the list is constantly changing.

      You may only want to ship inexpensive items internationally on your own until things sort themselves out.

      I’ve sold close to 35,000 items for a total of nearly $500,000, and that’s just on my history-bytes id. Right now, I’ve cut back on eBay selling to focus on my writing, but I still keep my hat in the game. That way, I can stay current with the challenges my readers face every day.

      I’ve been an eBay Power Seller or Top Rated Seller for most of the past twenty years, which means I’ve met eBay’s sales and customer satisfaction goals.
