      I like that this was super quick, and super practical. The book does not spend a lot of time on anecdotes or convincing me how much I’ll enjoy a clean house- it gives me CONCRETE and time limited ways to do that- and even in order.

Your kids want attention, your job requires you to work long hours, you and your partner haven’t had a relaxing night alone together in weeks or months, you’ve forgotten what your girlfriends look like, and, well, dinner isn’t going to cook itself. And forget about spending guilt-free alone time. With this sort of schedule, housework is one of those time suckers that inevitably gets deprioritized. Of course you’d rather spend time with your kids, your spouse, or your friends than cleaning toilets. Any sane person would. The problem is, the longer you go without tackling those pesky chores, the bigger the job becomes. Soon, you have what seems like an insurmountable amount of cleaning looming over your head, and still no time to do it.
