The purpose of the book „The Direction – The Awareness Stage” is to reveal the direction you, as the human species, must take. Humankind underwent several stages along history. Certain principles, correlated to the development of understanding and transformation in your society, corresponded to each of these stages. The second book of the cycle „Awareness Stage” attempts to define the direction you must take from now on, to demonstrate your readiness to take the enormous step necessary to comprehend the essence of your existence during the next phase of development, and the implementation of evolved behavior, which must be adopted by each of you.
Only by understanding correctly the main directives to observe the principles of: peace, harmony, balance, and love, will you be able to reach the next level of evolution. Anything else not conforming to these principles will crumble by itself.
Why is this? To make room and to create the right conditions for those of you who understand change and the principles it based upon.
Modify your mentality, your way of thinking and analyzing, to give meaning to your existence at a higher level. Your role on Earth is to contribute to the evolution of society. Do not shed this role to focus only on your own wellbeing. Evolution is not possible if only a small number of people possess the knowledge and the material resources to the detriment of the majority. The only way to make the transition to the next stage if for a larger number of people to reach the superior levels of understanding, and to display an adequate behavior using their own feelings and conscience.
To take this step it is necessary for the majority of people to understand their role and the given direction. Those who do not understand this will be pulled back, to make room for those who wish to contribute with all their souls, to inspire humanity towards greatness and rediscovery.
This is our message to you, those finding yourselves here and now. Receive this message and treat it seriously with the same respect and patience that we, those who have created you, have showed you along all these millennia. Do not take these principles lightly nor the direction that we have indicated. If you do, you will only find yourselves in the places we have prepared specifically for those incapable to acquire these principles correctly.
Earth is destined to become a planet inhabited only by those displaying evolved feelings, thoughts, and behavior. Be one of those who understood our message and support it!

    The books in the Series The Awareness Stage, namely: Where Are We Going, The Direction, The Detachment, The Now and The Objective, are intended to redirect your thinking and to change the mentality. Every chapter represents an explanation, a clarification of the way the subject must be interpreted. Although they have no connection with one another, the chapters within the books must be read with patience and in successive order. Sometimes, certain explanations in the text may appear repetitive. This is due to the fact that the message is addressed to a wide category of readers, experiencing various levels of preparation, and thus repetition helps with the assimilation of the teachings.

    1. Sadness and happiness

    Sadness is the state you are in when you worry for various reasons and when you do not want to interact with those around you anymore. When you are sad, your enthusiasm and joy of living dim, all your happy emotions are blocked and inaccessible.

    Really, what is sadness? Sadness can be caused by a negative event or it can be felt as a disappointment, a state of sorrow, or melancholy. This state usually lasts until you reset your feelings and manage to determine the cause. The correct identification of the reason for sadness is important. Once identified it is simple to assess it based on the event that caused the state. If for example you are upset because something happened to someone close to you, or even to yourself, the causes leading to what happened must be analyzed. If the causes are identified and your mood persists, it means that external factors are required to pull you out of your situation. Sadness can be counteracted by admiring the beauty of the nature around you, by the recollection of beautiful memories, by outings with friends, by reading a pleasant book, watching a movie or by participating to relaxing social events that can alter your disposition.

    Upset, sadness, melancholy, belong to the „indicator feelings" category. Indicator feelings signal the fact that your emotional state is not all right, that you must find what caused it, and that you must move on no matter what the causes are. To go from sadness to joy is not simple, but it can begin by triggering the wish to conquer the state of sadness and to continue on the path ahead.

    If sadness lasts it means that no matter when it occurred, and despite the fact that you have identified the reason, you cannot overcome the situation because you are trapped in the loop of unhappiness, which is the past. Sadness of any nature must be conquered, because it is an indicator feeling that under normal circumstances should drive you forward. Unhappiness lasts as long as you wish to remain anchored to it. When you decide to outrun it you must simply take the step that frees you from it. To outrun the indicator feeling of sadness you must continue to move on towards the goals you have set in your life.

    To remain trapped in states such as: upset, depression, anxiety, fear, disappointment, sorrow, melancholy, or sadness, is to stop in your tracks, to block the enthusiasm supposed to drive you forward on your path. Indicator feelings are only meant to warn you about your future decisions, about your actions, or about the fact that no matter what happened, you have the right to be upset, after which you must continue on with your life.

    Depending upon the event that triggered the state of sadness, you must always distinguish the facts from the emotions they cause. This is a big mistake people do: namely that after the events causing their sadness have passed, they are not able to separate the event as a succession of facts, from the emotional state that affected them, related to the event. This way they remain affected, connected in their subconscious mind to various events that happened in their lives, and replayed over and over again in the back of their minds, as emotional states associated to those events.

    Mature persons are putting their feelings, memories, lessons and situations they have experienced, in order, separating their emotions from the factual succession of the event itself. As long as we do not organize our experiences and the memories we have gathered along, so that we clarify the things that actually happened from the feelings we had, we will always remain the prisoners of those emotions mixed up with the facts. Mature persons must proceed with confidence on their life paths, and always discern with clarity between the emotions that they have experienced from what has actually happened in certain circumstances. Even the most sensible human beings must act in this manner, because once things are categorized, continuing the things they have to do in their lives becomes much easier.

    To remain forever tied to memories mixed with emotions, and to relive them, or to keep them clustered inside you, will only create imbalances that will affect you later on, causing you to become uncertain and unhappy.

    What is a good disposition? It is the enthusiasm of living and of feeling your life full, as a unique experience you have the opportunity to experience in the here and now. To be optimistic and cheerful means to have courage daily, despite obstacles, to go on your path and to notice the beauty around you: the sun in the sky, and all the diversity the surrounds you. It means to be willing to spend another charming day, during which you engage with pleasure in all the things you have to do. To be joyful means to use your warm and positive emotional side, the love you have for this unique experience that is your life, to have the occasion to laugh, to be happy, to be surrounded by your loved ones and to contribute to what you wish to do. It is entirely your choice whether you want to be brave and follow the path you want, or you want to live upset, pessimistic, because you do not have the drive to clarify what has happened to you, to analyze the causes, and to separate them from the emotions you have experienced.

    Now, because we have clarified the difference between sadness and happiness, the choice is yours and the best thing to do is to organize your past, to divide it in lessons and experiences, to separate your emotions and distance them from the facts. This way, reaching maturity you will learn that you can control your emotions and reach the stage in which your sadness can be left behind, as lingering sadness is proof that you are still immature.

    Master your sadness and unhappiness because they are feelings that distract you from reaching maturity, and from understanding that what you feel and what happens in your life are two separate things that once experienced must be subsequently categorized. You must develop to reach the point at which you do not entertain sadness, because indicator feelings are there to warn you, to call your attention on how you must conduct yourself in the future. Mature and manage your feelings so that whatever happens you enjoy only positive emotions that you can share with those around you.
