You use the going to future to talk about intentions.

One day Im going to be an inventor. They arent going to do the exam. When is she going to get married?
With the verb go you often use the present continuous form for future intentions and plans instead of going to.

Are you going to the cinema this evening? (not going to go) Were going on holiday to Turkey in the summer. He isnt going this afternoon.
