Brighton Hospital Offer Two New Treatment Programs

Two new unique treatment programs are being offered at Brighton Hospital, a national leader in treating drug and
alcohol dependency.

The hospital has established a special treatment program for members of the clergy. The 30-day program is built
around the belief that spirituality is a basic premise to recovery and of daily living. It includes a daily spiritual
service, lecture and discussions specific to the helping professionals cope with such issues as secondary trauma,
perfectionism, self-care techniques and working through guilt and shame.

Brighton Hospital is also offering an Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program. It’s an outpatient program designed
for teens that need more support and guidance than the traditional once-a-week outpatient counseling session. It
consists of group therapy and education for three hours at a time, three times a week.

“Adding these programs are part of our ongoing mission to provide the most compassionate and comprehensive
care to the people that need our help,” says Denise Bertin-Epp, president of Brighton Hospital.

For more information about these programs or for a confidential assessment, call 810-220-5514.

Brighton Hospital, a member of St. John Health, is the second oldest treatment center in the United States. It was
founded more than 50 years ago and continues to be a standard-bearer and innovator in chemical dependency
treatment based on the medical model and 12-step program participation. Brighton Hospital is a fully licensed
and accredited sub-acute care hospital and is staffed by addiction-medicine physicians and addiction-credentialed
clinicians. Both inpatient and outpatient treatment models are employed at Brighton Hospital.
