FRANKLIN AUTISM / ASPERGERS

Family Support Group Guidelines
1. We meet together because our lives have been affected by somebody who lives with autism. 2. This group is autonomous and the people you see here have the right to remain autonomous. 3. The views shared at the meetings are to be treated as confidential and should remain within the four walls of the room. 4. The group is open to newcomers. 5. People are free to be as open or as private as they choose. Respect for privacy is crucial. 6. Everyone has equal status. 7. There is a feeling of mutual respect; there is no competition among members. 8. Accept that you will not agree with all of the things that are said. Take what you like and leave the rest. 9. There will be no gossip or criticism of one another 10. The purpose of the group is to meet, share experiences and to network for ourselves regarding services and resources available to us.
