Instructions: Answer six (6) questions. All questions carry 10 marks.

Identify and discus five (5) ergonomic hazards found in the workplace.

3. Explain why it is important to use a variety of methods to communicate health and safety information in the workplace. 4. Health and safety management is concerned with and achieved by all the techniques, which promote the subject. Identify and discus, using one (1) example a published health and safety management system 5. There are three (3) main reasons which are given for preventing accidents in the workplace. Identify the three reasons given and discus why accidents should be prevented. 6. (a) Explain why it is important to plan for emergencies. (b) Identify and discus at least four (4) stages in planning for emergencies. 7. Discus the importance of Environmental Management, and why it is important for the health and safety Professional to be part of the management of environmental issues in the workplace. 8. There are various types of Accident causation theories explain accidences occur. Chose one of those theories and explain the fundamental elements of that theory.
