MY TASK (10 MINUTES) How fast can the water flow? Material / Apparatus 2 measuring cylinders, 2 filter funnels, 20g of cotton wool, water, sand, garden soil, beaker, stop watch, tea spoon What to do? / Procedures / Methods 1. Prepare the apparatus as shown below.

2. Put the cotton wool in each filter funnel. 3. Put five tea spoons of sand in the filter funnel. 4. Pour 50ml of water onto the soil. 5. Start the stopwatch. Let the water flow through the sand for 60 seconds.

6. Measure the volume of water collected in the measuring cylinder. 7. Repeat step 3 6 using garden soil. 8. Record your observations. 9. Answer the question. My Observation
