Time Cards: Time cards are available in the nurses office and are due on July 11, July 25, and Aug. 8. Pay dates are July 19, Aug. 2, and Aug. 16. Cards should be turned into the nurse at each site. (Transition will turn timecards and attendance to Michelle for the last week.)

Transportation- Buses arrive before 7:45 (Elementary) & 8:45 Secondary and leave after 11:45 (Elementary) and 12:45 (Secondary) to allow for unloading and

loading. Teachers and EAs meet busses upon arrival and escort students to class which should begin as close to 7:45/8:45 as possible. Teachers and EAs should escort students to busses after the end of the school day (11:45/12:45). Attendance- Daily attendance is required to be taken by all teachers. Attendance sheets will be collected by a student helper (Sonnesyn) or delivered by a student (RMS) to the health service office in either building. Classroom Schedule- Provide Michelle with a copy of your classroom schedule ASAP. Post your schedule in your room. Please leave a note on your door whenever the class is out of the classroom, identifying location inside or outside the building where you can be located. (If you leave the building please be certain to leave a staff members cell #, that is with your group, with the ESY OFFICE in case of emergency.)

Community Outings- Any educational experience that occurs off school grounds during the Extended School Year program is considered Community Based Instruction. Therefore teachers should give the same level of thought and planning to the community activity regardless of whether transportation is needed or not. An outing to any community site should have a specific desired outcome that can be measured and addressed as part of the ESY progress report. **Requests for community outings are due today JUNE 26** Prior Approval of Community Based Instruction- A written rationale should include a description of the purpose of the experience, the specific skills that will be addressed during the experience, the method of evaluation, the criteria for success, method of reinforcement and correction of skills and how progress on skills will be reported to home, school and parents. How can fees be eliminated?

Reimbursement- District approved forms are available in the ESY OFFICE for individuals seeking reimbursement for purchases of instructional materials (i.e. approved supplies, foods lab). COPIES- Sonnesyn, located across from the front office labeled ESY printer/RMS located on 1st floor in the 118 copy room. Please use paper labeled ESY on the box. Security Badges- A list of teacher and EA names have been submitted and will be coded to grant entry by the first day of your program. If you have difficulty ESY admin will get the problem taken care of. Entrance/ Exit- All staff and students must enter and exit the front doors at Sonnesyn. Bussing will also take place at the front door. Community Outings: Elementary programs may only take walking trips and the must check in and out with the site administrator. Secondary programs must preapprove all outings with Michelle. Gym/Computer Labs- These will be available for sign up on the teacher set up day. Sonnesyn- South Gym, Blue Computer Lab in Media Center. RMS- Gym B and Cafeteria. No Computer Lab at RMS. Snacks- Program provided snacks will not be provided. Bussing- Bus schedules will be available in your classroom on the first day. Nurse- A nurse will be working each program during student hours. Walkies- Nurse and Admin will have walkies. Teacher walkies TBD by need. E-Mail- Please check your e-mail daily for announcements. Letter of Introduction- Please plan to write a letter of introduction to send home with students on the first or second day of ESY.
