Question 1: You said you are police officers, in what Police Station are you assigned? Answer: We are both assigned in Police Station 2, Abucay, Tacloban City, specifically at the Theft and Robbery Section? Question 2: Since when have you been assigned in Police Station 2? Answer: I, SPO1 Reyes have been assigned in the said station since January 2009 while I, PO2 Dela Cruz has been assigned there since July 2010. Question 3: Did you report for work on September 5, 2012? Answer: Yes, we both reported for work.

Question 4: Where were you at around 10:00 oclock in the morning of that day? Answer: We were at the downtown area, specifically in front of BPI along Justice Romualdez St; we were with PO1_______ and we were then conducting roving patrol on board our service vehicle. Question 5: What if any happened while you were conducting patrol? Answer: We saw and heard a woman standing by the roadside in front of Gaisano Central shouting, Thief! Thief!, while at the same time pointing to a male person wearing white t-shirt running towards the direction of Land Bank Justice Romualdez. Question 6: After hearing the woman shout, what did you do, if any? Answer: On board our service vehicle, we chased the malefactor who was running towards the direction of Land

Bank Justice Romualdez. When he reached the corner, he turned right towards Sen. Enage Street and we continued chasing him and it was when he was in front of Ocho Grill that we finally caught up with him. Question 7: What happened after you caught up with the malefactor? Answer: We arrested him and informed him of the nature and cause of his arrest as well as his constitutional rights. I, SPO1 Reyes seized from him a black Guess ladies handbag. When I conducted the body search, I SPO1 Reyes also recovered a black ladies wallet inserted in his pants waistband. Question 8: What happened after you arrested the suspect? Answer: Not long thereafter, the woman whom we earlier saw in front of Gaisano shouting, arrived and identified

the black Guess ladies handbag that we seized from the suspect as hers and was the one snatched from her earlier. She also identified the black ladies wallet as hers and was inside her handbag when it was snatched. In our presence, the woman, who identified herself as ___________________, 30 years old, married and a resident of V&G Subdivision, Tacloban City, inspected the contents of her handbag and wallet and did not find anything missing. Question 9: After that, what did you do next? Answer: We brought the arrested suspect to Police Station 2 as well as the victim for proper recording. At the police station, the arrested suspect divulged his name and other personal circumstances as _______________, 20 years old, single, unemployed and a resident of Serin District, Tacloban City.

Question 10: After documenting the arrest of the suspect, what else did you do if any? Answer: We brought him to Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center for medical examination and afterwards, we turned him over to the Tacloban PNP Lockup Cell.
