APA Referencing Expectations:

Below is a summary of the referencing expectations we discussed in class. These expectations apply to ALL research projects in this class: Full Citations (at the end of the report): 1. You must include a full list of references at the end of your research project whether it be a written report, website, Power Point, pamphlet, etc. This is not counted as part of your content (ex. if the project is to be 4 pages, then it is 4 pages PLUS the reference page). 2. Use your APA reference guide to create proper citations. a. If the author name is missing, replace it with the organization name b. If there is no author name or organization responsible for publishing the work dont use that reference. 3. List all references in ALPHABETICAL ORDER by authors last name. 4. INDENT all lines after the first line for each citation. 5. Include a MINIMUM of 5 references for each project. 6. If you include info from your text book or class notes you must include a reference for them also. Internal Citations: 1. Work must be written in your own words (minimize the number of quotes that you use). 2. Internal references including the authors last name, and year must be included in brackets at the end of each of each statement that includes information from another source. This will not likely include opening and closing sentences in your paragraphs but will likely include many (if not all) supporting sentences throughout the body of each paragraph.

NOTE: Work that does not include adequate referencing both at the end of the report and throughout the report will NOT be graded.

Below are a few references cited in APA style your reference page should look similar (other than the fact that you will likely use more websites and fewer scientific journals)
