Save Our Services in Surrey (SOSiS) Campaign meeting

Surrey Fire Authority and Surrey County Council want to close both of our local fire stations (Sunbury and Staines) and replace them with a single station and pump in Ashford. This is a budget-driven cut to our fire service, increasing risks to the local population. There is already a huge groundswell of opposition to this proposal, with all the local residents associations, local councillors and political parties lining up to say no to the cut. The Surrey Fire Brigades Union (FBU) has also come out clearly against the proposed closures. This is a Save Our Services in Surrey meeting to discuss how we can add our voice to the growing campaign against the closures, whether by lobbying, marching, public meetings, publicity stunts etc. All welcome.
