The Halls are Alive with the Sound of Music Setting: Lanier Middle is planning a battle of the bands.

Students will compete with instruments they have constructed on their own. Purpose: Students will apply what they have learned about the properties of sound and acoustics to build a musical instrument that can play at least six notes as close to pitch as possible. The students will form a band with the people in their group and audition by playing a song of their choice- one created or one already known.
