SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ASSISTANT (HAY BAND M) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the position will be responsible for: Servicing, maintaining, overhauling and repairing plant and equipment, and Conducting training sessions on mechanical related issues where needed. . PRIMARY DUTIES Plant performance monitoring and enhancement Improvement in energy efficiency Project and contractor management Identification of defective instruments and equipments Problem solving and reporting Modelling of energy consumption and water pumped Ability to investigate, analyse and identify the root cause of any failure Training of semi-skilled staff and the ability to transfer skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS T2 or N4 (Mechanical) Four years relevant practical experience in an operational process plant environment Minimum of two years experience in plant performance monitoring Code 08 driver license Computer literacy in MS Office Suite, MS Excel, Excess, Word. Knowledge of SAP and Maximo will serve as advantage Preference will be given to a qualified Fitter & Turner COMPETENCY PROFILE KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ATTITUDE
