ACT NOW TO SaVE OUR FIRE STaTIONS

Surrey County Council has been consulting on closing both of our local fire stations, and replacing them with just one. This will make Spelthorne the least fire resourced borough in Surrey. Together we can stop this. Every residents association in the borough opposes this. Local politicians from every major political party. The leader of Spelthorne council opposes this. Not one person who lives or works in the borough has said that they support these cuts. So why is Surrey County Council determined to slash our fire services in half? We need to tell them to stop these dangerous cuts. Save our Services in Surrey (SOSiS) is a group of local trade unionists, community groups and concerned residents who campaign against all cuts in public services. We have called this demonstration on 7 December as it is 10 days away from the Surrey Council Cabinet meeting which will make the final decision.
