HELP NORTHERN CEBU,

NOVEMBER 8, 2013

Typhoon Yolanda (international codename Haiyan) made landfall in the Philippine islands, causing massive destruction to infrastructure, agriculture and livelihood. A storm over a Category 5 rating, reports say Yolanda was worst than Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy combined. The island provinces of Samar, Leyte and Cebu were the hardest hit. As of writing, over 10,000 deaths have been reported. In Cebu, the northern area of the province suffered the most. People are left without homes, food, water, electricity and a means of living. Although relief operations have already started, much needs to be done to help the affected areas recover. http://www.sunstar.com.ph/cebu/localnews/2013/11/10/devastation-northern-cebu-313010 http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/524763/worst-disaster-tohit-ph
