Dear Friend, Nurses at Lehigh Valley Hospital have joined a surgical team from The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia for pediatric mission trips to Guatemala since 2012. The program is hosted by Partner for Surgery http://www.partnerforsurgery.org and the trips are organized with Dr. Joseph Giordano through the American College of Surgeons. Triage missions precede the surgical missions to identify patients who need surgery. When the team is assembled the appropriate patients are identified and scheduled for surgery. Surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and OR staff participate in fundraising for the mission through The CHOP Foundation. In order to continue our support of this worthwhile cause, we will be hosting our 1st annual non-profit event in early June 2014. You are invited to participate in this exciting event by either donating an item for the auction, making a monetary donation or by attending the event. During the planning phase, we are looking for individuals or businesses who would be interested in sponsoring the event. Sponsorship levels are listed on the attached donor form. The fundraiser will include bands, food and prizes. Benefits to area businesses and individuals include advertising throughout the Lehigh Valley.
