CHILD STUDY CENTER CURRICULUM PLAN: Infant/Toddler Fall 2012 WEEK 11 October 28th through November 1st INFANT

ACTIVITY The activity this week is to have a mobile hung up in the classroom made from the special objects that the children brought in from home. The goal is for the toddlers to realize they had special input in helping make the mobile for the infants. Also the infants will explore with clay. The clay will be put in the fridge and warmed up so they can have experience with both temperatures. The objective is for them to use all of the senses to explore the clay. SPECIAL FOCUS/THEME: Miss Anthonys Lead Week! Clay DISCOVERY TABLE The discovery table will be outside the whole week. Its going to be placed in the outdoor sand box. I will fill it with sand and materials for the children to measure, dump, pour and gather. Buckets and shovels will also be available. Throughout the week, water will be added to the sand so the children can feel the different texture it makes and see how the sand can stay molded into a shape. In addition to the outdoor discovery table, on Thursday and Friday there will be a pumpkin for the children to explore the insides of.
