Hamel believes that every company has a opportunity to shape its own future,

they are not meant to be laggards at early stage of time. Organisation have to
work on it. Theres should not be any reason which can limit organisation goal. If
there is excitement it can replace fear which often accompany reengineering
and downsizing. Hamel in his book competing for future suggested that for
competing in industry organisation should reach limits of incrementalismby
squeezing extra cost out of product cost, bringing on thrproduct month before ,
replying to inquiries by customer on ASAP basis. Quality improvement should be
priority, capturing another share of market. If we talk about growth there are
many foolhardy ways which certain companies usedto grow such as investing
money in synergistic acquisitions, merging with organisation which is laggard
(behind-the-curve) and in the end they are not successfull .

Hamel believes future belong to those who are willing to take challenges not to
the ones having crystal balls. Goal is to imagine future possiblyby changes in
workstyle, technology, lifestyle, it shouldn’t be predicting the future.
