Helve Cursive is based on Helvetica Cursive from the Script and Cursive Alphabets by Dan X. Solo. While doing the font I came to know of the existence of a digitization by Intellecta (Renania) but I thought some characters weren't done right so I went on with the font. A few days ago Philippe mentioned Pen Tip from WSI. I had a look and found out that it is similar to the font as shown in the book and decided to stop further work on the font. Since the font is almost complete, I decided to come out with the font and added 3 more characters - asterisk, slash and backslash. Helve Cursive is a redraw based entirely on the specimen in Solo's book. Other characters not appearing in the book were made up by me. Any similarities of the made-up characters to those in Renania and Pen Tip are not intentional. There was no attempt to copy from the two fonts nor anything (outlines, metrics, etc) from the two fonts were borrowed or stolen to create Helve Cursive. Here's the Google Books scan of Helvetica Cursive from Script and Cursive Alphabets -- http://postimage.org/image/bb94vhcgf/ Enjoy - Toto
