Writing: Choose 1 activity to do each day. Story Mountain: Write a story map. Draw a picture of a mountain. (example is shown below) At the bottom, write the beginning of your story. At the top, write the problem. On the way down, write the resolution. At the bottom of the story, write your ending.
Beginning, Middle, End: Divide a paper into 3 sections. Write and draw a picture in each section for what happens in the beginning, middle, and end. Postcard: Write a postcard to a friend telling them about your favourite part of a book.

2. Use objects
Divide a large pile of objects (cereal, plastic animals, blocks, etc.) equally into 4 piles to illustrate one-fourth. Recombine the group to divide into other fractions.
3. House Things Count the rooms in your house and make some fraction facts about them. One-half of the rooms have windows. One-third of them have pillows.
6. Calendar Look at a calendar. Find out how many days there are in a week, in each month, in a year. How many weeks are there in a year? How many months are in a year? Name them.
4. Data Create a graph using lego or other connecting games you may have, to show some data. e.g. number of pairs of shoes in your family.

Topic Day 3 Make a mask! Use your Green Thinking hat to think of creative ideas. Make a mask for your favourite animal You can use whatever you like to create it. You can just use a piece of paper but if you have other things you can use those too! Here is a picture to help you get started.

You can write about how the little girl is feeling or what you think may happen next.

Then look at the plan of their bedroom they drew yesterday showing their furniture and toys. Please read two stories from http://www.raz-kids.com. Each student's reading level is indicated in the Reading Level Folder. Please ensure that your child reads at the appropriate level and that he/she completes the comprehension activity at the end of each story. Kindly write down the titles of the stories read, and indicate the score your child achieved for the comprehension. Return it to me when school reopens. Write down the names of the stories you read, and the score you achieved. 3. Revise sight-words by logging in at http://goo.gl/RRxcOe. This is the link for Education City. Students can go to My City, then select Mrs. Paxton's EAL folder to gain access to the tasks that have been set for them. Once again, the selection of tasks is specifically aimed at reinforcing what we have done in class. 4.
