I worked with an English/ Language Arts teacher. I gradually took over her 6-10 grade Language Arts. I taught how to write a short story, how to write a dialogue, persuasive essay, vocabulary, and Lord of the Flies. I followed lesson plans that were left for me, and sometimes made extra work for students to do in order to keep them productive. I managed classes anywhere from kindergarden-12th grade. I had sixteen workshops with an average of nine students per workshop; I helped them learn how to develop a thesis statement, format a paper, write grammatically correct, and edit their papers. I also gave pop quizzes to make sure they understood the material before I introduced a new one. Sometimes I had to work one on one to help students keep up with the class. Subway Sandwich Artist Saint Joseph, Missouri October 2011- Present

I was day supervisor for awhile, my duties were to make sure my co-workers were doing their job properly, make sure the money was accurate, and make sure that the store was kept well cleaned. I was the person people called first whenever there was an issue at the store, or there was a need for customer service. While working there I worked as the shift leader, where I told my co-workers what their duty was for their shift, and I made sure that they did it properly. Accomplishments
Academic Quality Coordinator- as a leader in this committee I helped students communicate their concerns to the Faculty Senate. Alpha Omega President (2006-2008) - this is a small non-Greek sorority who was about to go extinct. I served as President for two years and worked hard to revive it. Camp Quality (2004-current)-I volunteer at a week long camp for kids with cancer to be kids again. Deans Honor List (2006)- I earned all As in a semester. First Place in the 2005 Missouri College Media Association- One of my writings received 1st place for Personality Sketch for the Yearbook section of the contest. Friends of the Animal Shelter (2009-2011) - I volunteer at the Animal Shelter trying to help find homes for animals. Griffon News and Yearbook Staff- I interviewed people, wrote stories in less than a week because of my deadline. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (2004-2010) - I helped raise money for blood cancers. I also participated in a walk every year. Mochila Staff (2005-2006) - read manuscripts and said whether or not it should be published. Photo Editor for Canvas (2006) - I said what photography/art could or could not be published in Canvas (Campus Literary Journal). Student Senator (2006-2007)-served as a student voice on campus. I wrote the Student Statues so block voting was prohibited unless otherwise stated. Western VIP ([Ambassador]2007-2008) - I was one of seventeen who represented the student body at charity events, Open Houses for high school students, and gave tours around the campus.
