Creating a Garden Design Board

GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY

When designing a garden it is important to get started right away with a game plan. This is so that you will have enough time to properly implement your garden plans during the planting season. Therefore, gather your thoughts on what your goals are for your garden and arrange them on your design boards.

LOOK GREAT EVERY TIME

Your design board should make a statement and clearly show what your garden intentions are. It should include several pictures and samples of fabric, textiles, leave types, etc. that you intend on incorporating in your garden. Most importantly your garden should have a 3 dimensional floor plan of how you intend to incorporate the plants and garden elements you will use and have the arranged so that you and others can visualize how you want your garden to look.

GIVE IT THAT FINISHING TOUCH

Your design board should include the following: A copy of your filled out Google docs supply planning sheet A list of the plants/elements you incorporated into your garden floor plan Several pictures of the plants/elements you would like to incorporate in your floor plan A 3D floor plan of your garden design (preferably from different angles: see image above) o https://secure.bhg.com/common/profile/regStep1.jsp?regSource=0993 o http://www.floorplanner.com/
