Academic Focus and Achievement My high school career both at MMSTC and Lake shore has been rigorous,

but well worth it. I have been greatly challenged over the ast !our years which has hel ed me to grow intellectually. I made the right decision by attending MMSTC. I learned skills that will hel me no only inside the classroom, but outside o! the classroom as well. Some o! these include time management, organi"ation, and ublic s eaking skills. I have gained hel !ul roblem solving skills and a background and research that I would not have learned otherwise. I now think critically when con!ronted with a con!lict and use thought!ul re!lection be!ore making im ortant decisions. MMSTC has challenged me more than I thought it ever would have. I have s ent countless hours working on homework and ro#ects. $lanning out time to work on all o! this so it is done on time has allowed me to gain time management skills. It made me reali"e that I was able to accom lish a lot with a limited amount o! time. From research, I am able to come u with a real world roblem and a way to solve it based on e% erimentation. I also a roach roblems with a more logical ers ective. I !ully think through the roblem and all o! the ways it can be solved, utting the best one into action. &e!ore I made a decision I think about all o! the conse'uences that may come along with it, both ositive and negative. (hether the ositives outweigh the negatives is crucial in making the decision. I !eel I made the right choice to attend MMSTC. I was hesitant at !irst, but with some ersuasion I decided to go. I have gained knowledge and e% erience that I would not have at a regular high school. Attending MMSTC has ut me !urther ahead !or college and the !uture. I am able to handle a large work load and all o! the stress that comes along with it.
