How Taking Assessments Can Measure The Ability of Learning Assessments measure the ability of a student on an individual level and should not be outlawed. This helps the instructor to track the progress of the students in the classroom. For example, each person learns differently and equally each person demonstrates their knowledge differently, some people excel in presenting their knowledge orally and others do extremely well in exam conditions. In actual classrooms situations teachers jobs are to depict a way to educate each student. Many people only learn hands on. They must be physically involved in the assignment. There are many ways to influence a persons brain to learn. Assessment also aids the teacher in knowing which students require more attention and ensure that the students are learning on the right grade level. I believe that testing students ability solely through examinations is a fair way to represent each students capabilities. I do realize that in many subjects course works are required and contribute to the final grade however, I find that exams do make up the largest

percentage of the overall grades and achievements. If a person passes the exam and gets a good score, they have the opportunity to receive a scholarship.

The method of assessment should always focus on getting the students to understand their educational needs more fully, at an individual, class subject, school level. Assessment should boost and improve the under achievement students, give students that self-esteem and motivation and show the abilities in areas of development and improvements. As for kids, they must be entertained in order to remember work. When put in testing situations some people are more likely to not show their true knowledge. Like me I have a hard time remaining focus and working under pressure. Throughout your years of school youre being prepared for the real world. When you take those assessments in school it is just basic knowledge but it help review what you know. It is more of a psychological test which proves how well your brain reacts under pressure. Teachers then use that to ensure what they will teach you. This is how they get their lesson plans together. A teacher must know what you do not know in order to focus on that specific subject. Everyone does not fully understand the same things just because they have learned it together. One student could excel greatly in reading, while another is a genius in math. Assessments find common grounds for

a teacher to teach both students. Testing the students on an individual level and the knowledge that a student has learned is outstanding for the school, teachers and parents. For example parents can use the results from this assessment to know where his or her child performance is. The school and teachers benefit the most because it shows how well the teachers passes the information and knowledge across to the students and the school compare scores national wide. I think

assessment plays a major role. Assessments can improve the students grades, For example students will have a routine progress report, daily question on topic and complete a mid-way assessment level, by completing a mid-way assessment level the student will know their level and how to improve. I think knowing the material will improve better grades. The Standardizing test like ACT and LEAP prepare students for college and everyday life challenges. This assessment makes the students want to score higher to be acceptant in good colleges and holds the school and teacher accountable. I think countries that are testing would have more knowledge than non-testing countries, because testers have the ability to use the knowledge to their advantage in everyday life situation. I think countries will be better educated if testing were involved because it would give students the opportunities to have better occupations, for examples lawyers and doctors.

Career assessments are also giving by employer as well. If I wanted a high paying job, I cannot just go sign papers and they will pay me. Jobs must see if your mind is mature enough to handle the job and the responsibilities that come along with the job. In everyday life and careers exams and assessment are require. For example, becoming a lawyer a Bar Exam is needed. This assessment is one that test on all general knowledge and ability to judge on or manipulate others. Like an assessment given to a high schooler the Bar exam lets the law school know if you have reached the level needed to obtain a law degree. Even more simple jobs like Popeyes require assessments for psychological test. An employer must know who they employ before hiring anyone. Everything a teacher teaches you in school based on the assessments they take play a role in everyday life. These assessments truly help others by giving them knowledge of you physically or mentally. Polices even give assessments to those who they suspect are drunk driving. It is called the breathalyzer test. One must blow into a tube to detect how much alcohol he is she consumed. Walking in a straight line is another test Police officers use to determine if someone is drunk. This shows the physical state after consuming alcohol. In conclusion, assessments are needed to measure the ability of ones learning skills. We gain a lot of knowledge, through those test we all hate taking. However if they were ever outlawed the world would change. Although many may think of

it "just being a school assessment" it helps a kid realize what he or she needs to work on. As for adults who have to take those assessments for jobs, they would simply be non-successful. They would not strive for passing and staying above the basic level of assessments. Who wants a lawyer are doctor that does not completely understand their occupations and responsibility it holds. If anyone was able to become a lawyer there would be convicts doing surgery and fighting lawsuits themselves. All I am really saying is that assessments contribute to our lives. These particular tests helps improve us one by one and let us know what are our strong abilities and what we need to be working on.
