Part 2: Industry Analysis / Need

A.

Needs Assessment

To calculate the need for my Early Care program I will first check the latest census from Hamburg and surrounding towns to gather information regarding the population. Information I need will include: Median Age, Median Income, and Number of births in the area. The census will tell me how many children under the age of five live in my target area as well as the average income of families. To gain further knowledge of family needs in the area, I will send out a survey to families about child care needs. I will need to know how many families either dont need care or are happy with the care they have. The information gathered from this research will determine if there are enough potential consumers for my business. B. Town census Mail in Survey Child Care Trends

With the growing number of working families there is a need for quality early childhood care. Sunnyside Child care agrees strongly with NAEYC that every young child deserves excellent early childhood education. Sunnyside Child Care will not only meet state standards but will meet the standards set forth by NAEYC. Early childhood education has affects children in their future academic and social success.
