Teaching Writing Kids Care About (While Meeting the Common Core Writing Standards) Instructor information

Lesson 1

In this first lesson we explore our own relationship to writing and reflect on how this impacts what we teach.
Objectives

Identify purposes of writing in daily life. Reflect on these purposes and what inspires kind of writing is fulfilling. Reflect on self as writer and how attitudes and feelings may impact teaching.

Activities Introductions: Introduce yourself in the Introduction Forum. This first forum gives us a chance to say "Hello" and start making connections. 2. Take the survey. This provides some information to make sure the class is geared toward this specific group of participants. Please complete during the first week. 3.
