SUBJECT: The Advantages of Updating Computer Systems to Include Order Screens.

Skyline employees and its customers would benefit by implementing a new computer system
which includes an order screen for cooks. Computer systems with order screen are common
throughout restaurants. They have many benefits that justify the cost of placing them. This
memorandum present the benefits of adding a new computer system with order screens and why
they are appropriate for this restaurant setting.
What Are the Advantages?
More productive
Able to view order times
Able to view the order the orders come in
Less orders get skipped or lost
The main advantage to skyline in implementing a new computer system with order screen would
be the increase of productivity. In my experience in both a restaurant with and without order
screen, restaurants with order screen are more efficient. By adding order screens there would be
a more appropriate operation. Employees especially cooks would have more organized routine.
This routine would allow for an improved experience for customers. The improved experience
for customers would come from quicker food delivery and better accuracy.
What would be need for new system?
To implement a new system that would include order screen there would have to be new wiring,
programs, and screen. This upgrade could be a little costly but over time be quiet profitable.
Upgrading the system would save on the paper products currently used. Also increasing the
customers experience will make them more likely to visit again which in turn increases revenue.
Is the upgrade beneficial?
Upgrade the computer system and adding ordering screen is beneficial because without a doubt it
would increase productivity. Increased productivity equals increased profit.
