Stage 3 Learning Plan
Learning Activities:
- Students will become comfortable with rhythms through Echo Circles
o One leader performs a rhythm and students in circle will echo. Leader changes every 4 rhythms.
- The class will create 4 beat rhythms and arrange them into a composition from the SmartBoard
- Students in groups are given rhythm flash cards that they will arrange into compositions
- Students will perform compositions in a showcase scenario
- Students will create their own original rhythmic composition
- Students will share original composition one-by-one in a rhythm circle
- Students will collaborate with a group to create a rhythmic composition
- Students will perform group compositions in a showcase scenario
- Class will share group compositions in a rhythm circle
