Early Childhood Stage of Development ranges
from 2 to 8 years-of-age. Throughout this stage,
there is a tremendous growth across all areas of
development. As development blossoms, children
in this stage gain and maintain the skills that they
need to be successful (Berk, 2013). Therefore, the
primary developmental task for this stage is skill
development.
Strengthen relationships between teacher and
parents.
Guide and support learning and development
for each child.
An active listener.
Well trained and provide age-appropriate
learning activities.
Provide opportunities for parent and
community involvement.
This presentation gives you the opportunity to
understand how partnerships in the community
can impact your childs learning and
development.

The second level of
Bronfenbrenners model,
the mesosystem,
encompasses
connections between
microsystems, such as
home, school,
neighborhood, and child
care center (Berk, 2013).
