What is the mission of this organization/company/program that you are reviewing?
NAEYC's mission is to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights and well-being of all
young children with primary focus on the provision of educational and developmental
services and resources. (NAEYC Bylaws, Article I., Section 1.1).
What components of this website did you find most useful?
The components that I found most useful are the links attached to the home page. From
the home page you can browse the whole website and quickly find what you are searching
for. I also found the search bar to be accurate.
How can you use the information provided from this website to help foster your education at
Sandhills?
The Sandhills Early Childhood Education is a NAEYC accredited program. Everything
they teach is NAEYC accredited. The website for the National Association for the
Education of Young Children can help guide a student through and answer any questions
that one may have.
How will you be able to use this website to help you grow as a professional in Early Childhood?
I will personally use this website to read up on how make my child care facility become
accredited.
Are there components of this website that will help you foster a childs development? What are
they?
This entire is to promote excellence in Early Childhood Education. In the publications
section it list books that you can read to learn more about Young children and teaching
them, as well as several more.

The guiding mission of the North Carolina State Board of Education is that every public
school student will graduate from high school, globally competitive for work and
postsecondary education and prepared for life in the 21st Century
The search bar was the most useful when searching for certain categories.

I can use the link to the state board of education to further my knowledge about the board
over the public school system.

I can better myself as a professional by using the strategies for planning and performance
as a reference to go by.

Fostering the development of a comprehensive childhood professional development

I didnt find one certain thing in particular useful, I found a broad range. The links of the
website are very explanatory and useful.

I will use the certification and Licensure to foster MY development at Sandhills
Community College. I will use this link to become more educated on this subject.
Again, there are several different aspects that can be used throughout this website but the
most important thing for me is the certification and Licensure.

website created for the professionals of child development and its focus is fostering the
professionals development.

Our mission is to promote the social competence of young children and expand and
improve inclusive opportunities in natural and least restrictive environments for young
children with disabilities, birth to age 5 years, and their families.
I liked the available resources under the resources link. It listed trainings webinar and
other things that were going on for inclusion as well as handouts to go along with it.
Sandhills?
I think just knowing about the website for my portfolio will help foster my development as
a resource I can come back to for review if I have a project dealing with inclusion.
I will use this website when I run my childcare facility to inform the parents that have a
child with a disability.
