General Book Targets
I can demonstrate appropriate stress on words, pausing and phrasing,
intonation, and use of punctuation while reading in a way that reflects
understanding (during oral reading)
I can read about new cultures or places and acquire new content knowledge
I can use text structure to predict the outcome of a book in a variety of
genres

Targets about the Setting
I can read books in which I need to have content knowledge of the setting
I can talk about how the setting is important to the plot
