To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Amy Quayle, and I am honored to be writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Amanda Hausauer. Ive had the
pleasure of knowing Amanda for the past three years both as a student intern and as a colleague. When I first met Amanda, she was a
student teacher for my colleague Melissa Bridgman, and she was willing to volunteer and donate her time to help with a variety of
homecoming activities. As the Leadership Advisor for Clarkston High School, Im in charge of running some of the largest events in
the school, one of which is homecoming. During the week of homecoming there are four major events that require a variety of
volunteers and hours so that each event runs smoothly and seamlessly. Amanda was one of the first student interns to volunteer her
time, and at that point I realized that she was an extraordinary individual. She worked tirelessly with me throughout the course of the
week to help guide students and organize them so that each event was indeed a success. Her work ethic, charismatic demeanor, and
natural ability to communicate with kids not only created a trusting relationship, but also generated a true respect between her and the
students. Not only did Amanda help me during the time in which she was interning at Clarkston, but she has taken the time over the
past two years to come back and help me whenever time allowed.

Beyond her student teaching experience, Amanda has been one of the only substitute teachers that Id allow in my classroom. As I said
previously, I am in charge of the Leadership Program, and with that program comes the responsibility of handling a lot of money.
Since this job requires an enormous amount of honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity, Amanda is truly the only individual I could
imagine taking over my classroom. During the Spring of 2014, I went on maternity leave with my third child, and I requested that
Amanda be my long-term substitute. Not only would she be working with the Leadership students, but she would also be working with
two of my co-taught classes, which require a significant amount of love. I knew that Amanda would be able to provide the support and
loving demeanor that my co-taught students needed, as well as the academic rigor and differentiation it took to run a co-taught
classroom. The co-taught classroom in Clarkston consists of 95% special education students all needing different lessons and
encouragement. Needless to say, my students have truly loved having her in the classroom. She makes connections with them, forms
trusting relationships, keeps them on task, and pushes them academically. Her expectations are extremely high, which is wonderful for
all of my students, and I truly believe it is one of the reasons that my students have such an enormous amount of respect for her.
Moreover, her ability to work with a variety of units, a constantly changing curriculum, and a collaboration of lessons that are
differentiated based on each students individual needs is impeccable. Shes truly made each of these classes her own, and has created
the trusting relationships that students look for from young, charismatic, driven teachers.

It is with great admiration and respect that I write this letter on behalf of Amanda. I truly believe that she is an amazing individual, and
an even more amazing teacher. I encourage you to let Amanda into one of your classrooms, so she can continue to change the lives of
students, something which seems to be harder and harder to find in todays constantly changing realm of education. She truly is
impeccable. If you have any questions regarding Amanda or her teaching experiences while at Clarkston, please feel free to contact me
at (810) 444-2059 or at aequayle@clarkston.k12.mi.us.

Sincerely,
